Hacking Face Recognition with Craft Materials
This activity was part of a research project I was part of during my PhD. It was done with 14-15 year olds in public schools of Aarhus, Denmark.
Objectives: introduce teenagers to machine learning concepts by tricking a face recognition software.
Activity Prompts: the teenagers were told that the Intergalactic Confederation needed their help to save Earth. One of the missions was to pass by the security cameras of Future Earth without being recognized by the face recognition software.
